Q: Droobius Maximus; a.k.a. Drew Aldrich. Tell us about Paracusia.

Droobius: Well, it's a contrived scene asking to explain art.
I was just following the music.

Q: You mean going where the music takes you?

Droobius: No, I take music somewhere and it creates me.

Q: What made you want to assemble a compilation of 1997-2020?

Droobius: 'Compilation' is a nasty word. This was
supposed to take 23 years to make. It was a
fortnight in Detroit. The Motor City wasn't built in a day.

Q: Didn't these songs appear on previous albums?

Droobius: Those were sketches with casualties involved.

Q: You mean they weren't albums?

Droobius: Of course not. They were anti-albums.

Q: I'm confused.

Droobius: That's perfect. Like symmetry.

Q: Huh?

A: Your reaction is appropriate.
